We can’t believe it’s been a year already since we first flew across the world to Asia. Our journey across boarders taught us not only about different cultures and people around the world but also about ourselves and what is within. We basically just looked at each other one day and said we were doing it. Then a few short months later we were taking off on our first flight. We had some money saved up prior but saved most of the money we used for the trip in the months after we made the decision that we were going. If you have an open mindset with money, you’ll have exactly what you need when you need it. We quit our jobs, left the states, and ventured out into the unknown. We could not be more grateful that we had the opportunity to spend months exploring islands, volcanos, jungles, mountains, rainforests, deserts, snowy peaks, and well, everywhere in between. While we encountered some unforeseen issues- Ricky falling off his scooter into a rice paddy in Bali, or when the Indian government cut off the internet and cell service to the area we were in at the time leaving us with no way to use our phones, cards, or any ATM. All the planned and unplanned moments we lived through, the best advice we have is to just do it. Seriously. If not now, when?
Here’s a few photos of some of the amazing places we got to explore…
While pictures can’t truly portray the memories and experiences we gained from this trip, we hope they can inspire you to follow your dreams and do things you truly want. Don’t get trapped in the box society tries to put us in. Get out there and go after your dreams. Manifest and attract the life you want to live. Love & light, Nikki
All we had for this trip was what we could carry on our backs, here’s a few items we were so thankful to have…
